4th of July
Our First Event ever
Our first event was created with one clear intention: to transform music into action. On July 4th, a total of 40 artists volunteered their talent alongside 15 dedicated helpers who worked behind the scenes. Together with all the visitors, without whom Baila Florecita would not have been what it is, we turned one evening into a shared experience driven by generosity, creativity, and purpose.
What it was about
We brought together a diverse lineup of passionate artists; from soul and jazz to Latin rhythms, Rap, Pop and electronic sounds. What united everyone was more than performance: it was a shared belief that art can be a bridge. A bridge between worlds, between people, and between those who have and those who don’t!
Atlantis Basel became a vibrant meeting place for families, young people, artists, and curious passersby, a full festival atmosphere condensed into one unforgettable night. The evening showed us how powerful music and community can be when hearts come together, full of love, laughter, and art.

Final recap
Before the event (1:00–5:00 pm): Preparations at Atlantis were full of hectic energy and excitement. The first helpers arrived, and together we transformed the venue. Nervousness grew, but it was all about courage and trust.Start of the event (from 5:00 pm): Guests began arriving, and by 8:00 pm the venue was packed, with people even outside to watch. The Capoeira performance and Las Catalenyas’ shows filled the streets with energy. Thanks to our amazing helpers, the night continued until 1:00 am, a magical evening despite a few small mishaps.
14 Acts, over 30 Artists, the stressed sound-engeenir and a unforgettable show. Here you find some insights!
RESULTS AND WHAT COMES NEXT
✓ CHF 4,208 Raised
Thanks to our sponsors and all donations, and after covering all fixed costs, we raised CHF 4,208. The full amount is being shared between our two partner foundations, directly supporting people who need it most. It may not change the whole world, but it creates real hope and tangible impact.
✓ Impact on the Ground
Siona travelled to Bogotá to work directly with our partner foundation in Chía, Colombia. She documented how the funds are being used and witnessed the impact firsthand, while contributing through volunteer work with children and women.
✓ A Lucky Surprise in Ecuador
To our delight, Siona was joined in Ecuador by Anna Paula; unplanned, as it wasn’t clear she could make it during her semester break. But somehow it all fell into place, and together they were able to work and document the impact at our second partner foundation in Cuenca, Ecuador for a full week.
✓ Ready for Part Two
With all the experiences, stories, and learnings collected on the ground, we’re now gearing up for the second edition of Baila Florecita; building on everything we’ve learned to make the impact even stronger!
You wanna be a part of it?

Sponsors of the first event
We guarantee that 100%
of all donated money flows directly
to our partner foundations,
ensuring the greatest possible impact and full transparency about where your support goes.
To make this possible while still covering the costs of running an event, we relied on the support of sponsors who helped turn this vision into reality.
A huge shoutout to the heroes of our first event:
